Fresno County, CA – Authorities have identified Brian Sepe, 34, of Clovis as the man who lost his life in a two-vehicle collision on the afternoon of Thursday, July 10, 2025, according to ABC30.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 2:35 PM at the intersection of DeWolf Avenue and South Avenue.
Investigators say Sepe was driving a Subaru northbound on DeWolf Avenue when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign. As his vehicle entered the intersection, it was struck by an eastbound Ford traveling on South Avenue, which does not have a stop sign at that location. The force of the collision was significant and caused fatal injuries to Sepe, who was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
The driver of the Ford, identified only as a 55-year-old man from Parlier, sustained moderate injuries in the crash. He was transported by emergency medical personnel to a nearby hospital for treatment.
CHP officials have indicated that alcohol and drugs do not appear to have played a role in the collision. No citations or arrests have been reported. The crash remains under investigation.
Failure to Yield
In California, as in other states, “failure to yield” means that you didn’t give the right of way to the right person at the right time. As such, failure to yield or stop is closely related to the “right of way.” When a motorist fails to yield, stop or otherwise avoid an accident and causes a crash, he or she can be held liable for injuries and damages suffered by a victim.
Personal Injury Claims
When the actions of reckless drivers cause others to be injured, the cost of recovery should not fall on their victims. Filing a Personal Injury Claim with the at-fault party’s insurance can provide compensation for medical bills and lost wages during recovery.
