July 19, 2025, Lebec, CA: An accident between a big rig and a box truck took place on a major highway in Lebec on Saturday.
According to information provided by Bakersfield Now, the accident happened at 4:20 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-5. Police confirmed that a box truck and a big rig collided in the area due to reasons that are not entirely known. The trucks both sustained damage as a result.
One person suffered major injuries as a result of the accident. A medical helicopter took the injured victim to the hospital for treatment.
