Multi-Vehicle Truck Crash Causes Injuries, Spill near Hwy 99, Herndon Ave in Fresno

Fresno, CA – On the early morning of Friday, June 20, 2025, a multi-vehicle collision involving two big rigs and a pickup truck resulted in injuries and a spill of 70,000 pounds of juice across Highway 99, according to ABC30.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the crash occurred around 2:45 AM on northbound Highway 99 near Herndon Avenue.

According to investigators, the driver of a big rig lost control and collided with an embankment, causing the truck to overturn and block two right lanes. The impact ruptured the trailer’s cargo, spilling a large volume of juice onto the highway. The driver sustained an arm injury and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

While attempting to avoid the overturned truck, a second big rig was rear-ended by a Ford F-250. Both of those drivers reported injuries.

Cleanup efforts closed all lanes initially, with one lane reopened by mid-morning.

Personal Injury Claims & Comparative Negligence

Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Negligence rule, several parties can share partial responsibility. Should evidence reveal that another party contributed to the injuries, victims may be eligible to file a Personal Injury Claim with the responsible party’s insurance, which can provide compensation for medical bills and lost wages during recovery.
