May 3, 2025, Visalia, CA: One person lost their life in a hit-and-run bicycle accident that took place in Visalia on Saturday night.
The accident, according to information provided by Your Central Valley, occurred at 9:45 p.m. on Akers Street just south of Judy Avenue. Police confirmed that a driver was traveling in the area when they struck a bicyclist and continued on without stopping. When police arrived on scene, they discovered that a bicyclist was lying on the roadway next to their bike without a driver nearby.
The 53-year-old male bicyclist sustained severe injuries and was transported to Kaweah Health Hospital for treatment. However, on Sunday morning, he tragically passed away as a result of his injuries.
Police have not yet found the driver responsible for the accident. However, the Visalia Police Department continues its search.
