The San Francisco Police Department reports that the accident took place around 4:51 PM near the intersection of Ulloa Street and 21st Avenue in the Sunset District.

According to authorities, a vehicle carrying two individuals collided with two unoccupied parked cars under circumstances still under investigation. Both occupants of the moving vehicle were injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not been disclosed, and their identities have not yet been released.

Police said there is no indication that drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. No other injuries were reported, and all of the parked vehicles involved were unoccupied at the time.

The area surrounding Ulloa Street between 19th and 20th Avenues was closed to traffic for several hours as officers conducted an on-scene investigation. The roadway was cleared and reopened shortly before 7:20 PM.

Single-Vehicle Collisions

In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages.

Passenger Liability

Driver liability insurance covers both those outside the vehicle and passengers inside. While it can be emotionally difficult to file a Personal Injury claim against someone close to the victim, the financial challenges after an accident can be overwhelming.

A skilled personal injury attorney can help families pursue proper compensation for their loss by handling these legal complexities and negotiating with insurance companies, who always try to reduce payouts on claims they cannot deny.
