May 26, 2025, Bakersfield, CA: On Monday night, a fatal motorcycle accident took place at an intersection in Bakersfield.
The accident, which happened around 11:03 p.m. at the intersection of Bladen Street and Wilson Road, took one life. Bakersfield Now reported that a vehicle and a motorcycle collided after entering the intersection. The driver of the white Hyundai sedan made a left turn at the intersection, causing it to collide with the motorcyclist.
The motorcyclist, identified as an adult male, received major injuries and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. He was tragically pronounced dead while there. The female driver of the vehicle remained on scene but was not injured.
The road was blocked in the area for some time as police worked to clear the scene.
Bakersfield Police claim that impairment was not a factor leading up to the accident. Their investigation continues at this time.
