Yuba County, CA – In the early morning of Thursday, April 17, 2025, a solo-vehicle rollover crash resulted in the death of a 51-year-old Yuba City resident, according to KCRA.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 6:32 AM near Township Road and Madrone Lane in the Loma Rica area.
Authorities say a vehicle traveling at high speed veered off the roadway and overturned several times before coming to a stop. The driver, who was the only occupant, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene from his injuries.
No other vehicles or individuals were involved in the crash. Investigators have not yet determined what caused the vehicle to leave the road, and the incident remains under investigation.
Single-Vehicle Collisions
In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages.
