Modesto, CA – On the afternoon of Wednesday, April 9, 2025, a single-vehicle crash into a Chase Bank building injures two people, according to CBS13.
The Modesto Police Department reports that the accident took place around 3:20 PM at the intersection of Standiford and Sisk Avenues.
Authorities stated that a car was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control, crashing through the north side of the bank and coming to rest upside down against the building’s main electrical panel. Emergency responders found one occupant already outside the vehicle upon arrival, while a second person remained trapped inside.
Firefighters shut off the power and extricated the trapped individual. Police said the male driver sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital, while the female passenger suffered minor injuries and was also hospitalized. No employees or customers inside the bank were hurt during the incident.
Structural damage to the building prompted fire officials to have the facility boarded up. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
