March 9, 2025, Onyx, CA: A passenger sustained injuries in a hit-and-run collision that took place in Onyx on Sunday morning.
The accident, according to information provided by Bakersfield Now, occurred around 11:47 a.m. on Scodie Lane. Police confirmed that a driver was traveling in the area when they crashed due to reasons that are not fully known. The driver of the vehicle abandoned the vehicle on foot, according to a witness on scene.
A passenger was left behind in the vehicle and they sustained injuries as a result of the accident. There was also a dog in their vehicle but it is not known if it was hurt.
A judge issued a warrant for arrest on the driver who fled the scene. It is not known if they were found by police at this time.
