March 15, 2025, Hollister, CA: A man tragically lost his life following a big rig crash that took place near a state park in Hollister on Saturday evening.
The accident, according to information provided by ABC30, happened around 6 p.m. on Highway 152 just east of Dinosaur Point Road, just outside Pacheco State Park. A man was traveling west on the highway when his Nissan suddenly broke down on a lane of the highway. At the same time, a man was headed west in a big rig and claims he did not see the vehicle, slamming into the back of it.
The driver of the Nissan was ejected out the front of the vehicle. He was tragically pronounced dead on scene as a result of his injuries. The driver of the truck remained on scene and was not injured.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
