Esparto, CA – In the early morning of Sunday, February 16, 2025, a motorcyclist was killed in a collision on State Route 16 in Esparto, according to CBS13.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the accident took place around 2:15 AM on westbound State Route 16 near Parker Place.
Investigators say a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling west behind a Chevrolet SUV when the collision occurred. The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity, and it is unclear what led to the crash. Officials are working to determine whether drugs or alcohol were a factor.
