Fresno, CA – In the early morning of Sunday, February 23, 2025, 28-year-old DUI suspect Jacob Perry was involved in a three-car collision on Highway 41 that left multiple people injured, including two California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers, according to The Fresno Bee.
The CHP reports that the accident took place around 1:30 AM near the Ashlan Avenue onramp in the northbound lanes.
Investigators say Perry was driving a Honda Accord when he crashed into the back of a CHP patrol vehicle, which had just completed a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Equinox and was merging onto the highway. The impact pushed the patrol car into the Equinox, causing all three vehicles to spin out.
A passenger in Perry’s vehicle sustained major injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. The two CHP officers suffered moderate injuries, while the driver of the Equinox had minor injuries.
Perry was not injured in the crash. He was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and booked into the Fresno County Jail. The crash remains under investigation.
Personal Injury Claims
When the actions of reckless drivers cause others to be injured, the cost of recovery should not fall on their victims. Filing a Personal Injury claim with the at-fault party’s insurance can provide compensation for medical bills and lost wages during recovery.
