The accident, according to information provided by Your Central Valley, took place at 6:43 p.m. at the intersection of Akers Street and Walnut Avenue. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was crossing the street when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not entirely known. It is believed that the driver remained on scene following the collision.

The pedestrian was injured and transported to the hospital as a result. Nobody else was hurt in the collision.
