January 3, 2025, Santa Maria, CA: A pedestrian was killed in a fatal collision that took place at an intersection on Friday in Santa Maria.
The accident, according to information provided by KSBY, took place around 6:12 p.m. at the intersection of Russell Avenue and Main Street. Police confirmed that a female pedestrian was walking across the street at the intersection when she was suddenly struck by the driver of a passenger vehicle.
The pedestrian, identified as a 68-year-old woman, was rushed to Marian Medical Center where she was tragically pronounced dead due to her injuries. The driver, who remained on scene, was not hurt in the accident.
