December 4, 2024, Fresno, CA: A man and teenager were injured in a hit-and-run big rig accident that took place in Fresno on Wednesday night.
According to a report from Your Central Valley, the collision happened around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of North and Temperance Avenues. Police confirmed that a pickup truck was traveling westbound in the area as a red big rig was approaching the intersection. The driver of the big rig failed to stop at the stop sign, causing it to collide with the pickup truck. The pickup truck slid under the big rig, causing extensive damages. After the collision, the driver of the big rig fled the scene.
A 14-year-old male and an adult male in his 20s who were inside the pickup truck were both injured in the accident. Police did not confirm if they found the driver of the big rig following the accident.
No further details have been released but California Highway Patrol continues its investigation into the accident at this time.
