November 26, 2024, Santa Cruz, CA: Two individuals were hurt in a car accident that took place at a Santa Cruz intersection on Tuesday.
According to information provided by KSBW, the accident happened at 2 p.m. at the intersection of Windham Street and Seabright Avenue. Police confirmed that an adult male and female were inside a vehicle when the driver lost control, crashing into a tree near the intersection.
When paramedics arrived, they found both the driver and passenger with critical injuries and they were immediately hospitalized.
Police discovered that the male driver was allegedly driving under the influence at the time of the accident. He is now facing charges.
No further details have been released but police continue their investigation into the collision at this time.
