October 31, 2024, Bakersfield, CA: An accident that took the life of a skateboarder happened on Halloween night in Bakersfield.
According to information provided by KGET, a skateboarder lost their life in a fatal accident in Bakersfield on Thursday, Halloween night around 6:40 p.m. The accident took place in the westbound lanes of Westside Parkway around the area of Allen Road. A skateboarder was struck multiple times by numerous vehicles.
The skateboarder was tragically pronounced dead on scene due to traumatic injuries. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
Three westbound lanes of traffic were blocked for some time following the accident.
No further details have been released. California Highway Patrol continues its investigation into the circumstances of the accident at this time.
