October 27, 2024, Bakersfield, CA: A woman tragically lost her life in a fatal pedestrian crash that took place on a roadway in Bakersfield on Sunday morning.
According to information provided by KGET, the accident happened in the early morning hours on Panama Lane around the area of Kern Raceway. A pickup truck driver was headed westbound when they suddenly struck a woman who was walking across the street.
The driver who struck the pedestrian stopped at the scene and called 911, waiting for officers. However, while waiting, another vehicle struck the woman and didn’t stop.
The pedestrian, identified only as an adult female, was tragically pronounced dead on scene due to her injuries. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
