October 11, 2024, Los Banos, CA: On Friday morning, a fatal head-on collision involving a dump truck took place on a highway in Los Banos.
According to information provided by ABC30, the accident happened around 7 a.m. on Highway 165 in the area of Salt Slough. A dump truck was allegedly headed south on the highway when it was involved in a head-on collision with a red Honda sedan traveling north. The Honda immediately caught on fire after impact.
The driver of the Honda was tragically pronounced dead on scene after the accident. The driver of the dump truck was injured and hospitalized.
No further details have been released at this time. California Highway Patrol continues its investigation into the collision.
