October 29, 2024, Fresno, CA: A bicyclist was injured in a collision with an officer at an intersection in Fresno on Tuesday.
According to information provided by Your Central Valley, the collision took place around 4:41 p.m. at the intersection of McKinley Avenue and Chestnut Avenue. Police confirmed that a bicyclist was crossing McKinley headed north while an undercover officer was traveling west on McKinley. At that time, the cruiser collided with the bicyclist.
The unidentified bicyclist was injured as a result of the accident. They were transported to the hospital for treatment. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
No further details have been released but police continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the accident.
