September 3, 2024, Riverdale, CA: On Tuesday night, a man was tragically killed and several others were injured in a big rig accident in Riverdale.
According to information provided by ABC30, the accident happened at 6 p.m. at the intersection of Marks Avenue and Excelsior Avenue. A driver was traveling in the area in their pickup truck when they stopped at the intersection’s stop sign. They proceeded, which is when the pickup truck was struck by a big rig traveling through the intersection.
The driver of the pickup truck, identified only as an adult male, was tragically pronounced dead on scene due to his injuries. A woman and three children were hospitalized due to their injuries. The driver of the big rig was not injured but remained on scene.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision at this time.
