September 9, 2024, Ridgecrest, CA: On Monday, two people suffered injuries in a collision that took place at an intersection in Ridgecrest.
According to information provided by The Daily Independent, the accident happened around 11:43 a.m. at the intersection of South China Lake Boulevard and South Norma Street. A white Ford Transit van and a silver Kia Spectra were traveling in the area when they collided at the intersection due to reasons that are still being investigated. Following the initial collision, a red Cadillac also became involved, which was sitting at the intersection’s stop sign.
The driver of the Transit van sustained injuries and was hospitalized. The driver of the Kia was also treated on scene for cuts to her head.
Due to the severity of the accident, police closed China Lake Boulevard and diverted traffic for some time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
