August 30, 2024, Madera, CA: A woman tragically lost her life in a fatal truck accident that took place on Friday morning in Madera.
The accident, according to Your Central Valley, happened around 5:30 a.m. on Avenue 12 around the area of Riverstone Boulevard. A big rig was traveling westbound in the area when the driver of a maroon Chrysler was traveling in the same direction in front of the truck.
The driver of the Chrysler stopped to make a left turn at the intersection. The driver of the big rig did not stop in time, rear-ending the Chrysler and colliding head-on with a Nissan Altima in the other lane.
The driver of the Nissan, identified only as an adult female, was tragically pronounced dead on scene due to her injuries. The driver of the Chrysler sustained injuries and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center. The driver of the truck was not hurt.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the accident at this time.
