August 28, 2024, Paso Robles, CA: On Wednesday afternoon, one person was tragically killed in a fatal big rig accident at a Paso Robles intersection.
According to KSBY, the collision happened at 12:15 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 101 and Wellsona Road around the area of the San Paso Truck Stop. A 27-year-old was traveling in the area when she drove into the intersection and her Cadillac Eldorado was struck in the passenger side by an oncoming big rig truck.
The 27-year-old female was tragically pronounced dead on scene due to the severity of her injuries. The driver of the big rig was not hurt but one other person allegedly suffered from minor injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection until 3:15 p.m.
No further details have been released at this time. Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
