Early Wednesday morning, a man sustained major injuries in a big rig accident that took place in Atwater. According to information provided by ABC30, the accident happened around 4 a.m. just south of Cressy Way on the frontage road near Livingston on the morning of July 3, 2024.
When California Highway Patrol officials arrived on scene, they discovered that a big rig driver struck a pedestrian in the area. The driver pulled over and checked his cameras after striking something, only to see that it was a male pedestrian. He then called 911 and remained on scene.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene following the accident. The pedestrian was airlifted to a Modesto hospital with major injuries, though his current condition is not yet known.
