On Sunday morning, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Gilroy. According to information provided by Kion 46, the accident happened at 12:23 a.m. on No Name Uno Road on the morning of May 19, 2024.

When Gilroy Police arrived on scene, they discovered that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on No Name Uno Road in the area of St. Louise Regional Hospital. Police found the pedestrian unresponsive and lying on the road.

A nurse who works at St. Louise stopped by the scene and attempted to provide First Aid to the pedestrian. However, the 32-year-old man was tragically pronounced dead a short time after the collision.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian, identified only as a juvenile, remained on scene and was not injured. Police said that they were not under the influence at the time of the accident.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
