According to information provided by Your Central Valley, a four-vehicle collision led to four fatalities in Modesto. The accident happened around 4 p.m. on McHenry Avenue on the afternoon of April 9, 2024.

When California Highway Patrol arrived on scene, they discovered that four vehicles collided in the area, leading to four fatalities. The four vehicles involved in the accident were identified as a Mitsubishi sedan, a Toyota SUV, a Ford pickup truck, and a Dodge van.

Several emergency responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Two people inside the Mitsubishi were pronounced dead on scene, identified as a 19-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man. The driver of the Toyota, identified as a 60-year-old woman, was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced deceased while there. A one-year-old girl in the Toyota was also tragically pronounced deceased at the hospital due to traumatic injuries. Nobody else was injured in the accident.

McHenry Avenue was temporarily closed between the area of Ladd Road and the San Joaquin County Line. Police worked quickly to clear the scene so traffic could return to normal.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
