Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Highway 145 Near Avenue 12 in Madera Takes One Life
A woman was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident that took place on a highway in Madera on Sunday morning. ABC30 reported that the collision happened around 2 a.m. on Highway 145 around the area of Avenue 12 on December 3, 2023.
California Highway Patrol officials arrived at the scene around 2 a.m., where they discovered that a woman was struck by a passenger vehicle. Police did not say if the driver of the vehicle remained on scene following the crash.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help. The woman, who was only identified as an adult woman, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
The road was blocked in multiple lanes following the collision.
No further details have been released but California Highway Patrol continues its investigation into the collision.
