Motorcyclists struggle to get noticed by careless drivers who aren’t always paying full attention to the road. They can miss spotting a rider and make a move that puts the motorcyclist at risk.
That struggle gets even worse when a driver has consumed drugs or alcohol. An impaired driver can miss just about anything and may be even more likely to enter the path of someone on a motorcycle. The unpredictable movements can leave a rider with little time to react to steer clear of a devastating accident.

Financial Assistance for Families After a Tragic Madera County Accident
Motorcycle accident victims should never face the enormous costs of recovery alone when a reckless driver is to blame. Victims and their family members may file an injury claim against the driver’s car insurance provider.
This claim asks for help with these hardships and more:
- Money to pay all hospital bills now and for the possible costs of future surgeries and physical therapy.
- Long-term support if the rider suffers a permanent physical disability.
- Support for pain and suffering. This includes the emotional trauma victims may experience as lose their enjoyment of life and must be off their motorcycles.
- Reimbursement for the time lost at work while victims heal.
- Reimbursement for motorcycle repairs or replacement.
When calling upon the insurance company of a DUI suspect, victims don’t have to wait on the outcome of a criminal trial. A civil wrongful death claim is filed and can be settled separately, no matter where criminal proceedings stand.
