The driver of a pickup truck trying to flee a traffic stop collided with a car in Huntington Park Tuesday morning. KTLA-TV reports the accident occurred at the intersection of Randolph Street and State Street at around 7 a.m. on April 25, 2023.
Los Angeles Sheriff’s Deputies were pursuing the white pickup truck after the driver raced away from an attempted traffic stop. The truck entered the intersection during the pursuit and struck a gray sedan. Video from the scene showed the truck with major front-end damage. The car was knocked into a traffic light pole.
The car had six people inside and several occupants were injured in the crash. It was not reported if anyone in the pickup truck was injured. Information on the condition of the victims was not released.
The driver of the truck was taken into custody. The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the accident.
