The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) recently identified over 22 incarcerated women potentially sexually abused by correctional officer Gregory Rodriguez.
According to a CDCR press release published on December 28, 2022, after an investigation, the case has been sent to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for charges of alleged sexual misconduct against incarcerated women. In the press release, Central California Women’s Facility (CCWF) Warden Mike Pallares is quoted stating that correctional officer Gregory Rodriguez “shamefully hid behind his badge and used it to victimize a vulnerable population”.

Compensation is Available for Sexual Abuse Victims.
Maison Law wants all victims and their families to know that compensation is available to sexual abuse victims incarcerated in Central California Women’s Facility.
Any sexual assault survivor can pursue justice through a civil lawsuit.
Successful lawsuits and settlements often result in awards of $300,000 – $1 million or more. Of course, all cases are different and these numbers have nothing to do with your unique situation which could result in less or more depending on the circumstances.
A civil lawsuit is different than sexual assault charges. A civil lawsuit is independent of criminal charges. A correctional officer need not be charged with a crime to be sued.
What is Sexual Assault?
Any type of sexual conduct taking place between an inmate and any type of authority figure at Central California Women’s Facility is sexual assault. Inmates can not legally consent to any type of sexual relations with correctional officers and other authorities because those authorities could retaliate against inmates who do not participate.
