Bakersfield Police Officers responded to the scene sometime after 6:16 a.m. to find a man down in the eastbound lanes suffering from serious injuries. Tragically, the man was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle involved stayed at the scene to answer questions from investigators. Officers don’t believe speed, alcohol, or drugs played a role in the accident. They continue to determine the circumstances surrounding the deadly collision.
