San Luis Obispo police responded to the scene sometime after 7:48 p.m. They found the victim down on Toro Street by the stop sign in the northbound lane. Investigators say the victim had suffered moderate injuries after being hit by a vehicle. The pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital.
The driver involved remained on the scene to answer questions from police officers. Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in what happened.
