Nighttime Head-On Collision Dangers on Hwy 65 in Kern County CA

Two-lane highways running up Kern County can feature fast-moving traffic and a lot of careless driving. Travel is especially dangerous at night. Drivers can be looking at a cell phone or driving while drowsy and can inch their way across a yellow line and into oncoming traffic.

Safe drivers may not be able to determine on which side of the road headlights are and have only moments to try to steer away from a vehicle that’s out of control. Victims in these dangerous head-on crashes can suffer broken bones and traumatic brain injuries. In severe cases, victims can easily have their lives placed in jeopardy.

Support for Families After a Tragic Kern County Car Accident

Families who lose a loved one to traffic accidents will, of course, never completely get over the grief of such a heartbreaking tragedy. They will need to take action to protect themselves from the financial hardships that often follow a devastating accident.

The family members left behind may file a wrongful death claim against an at-fault driver’s insurance company. This civil claim would seek help for the family with the costs of a funeral and emergency services fees. A claim also asks for assistance with the loss of income the deceased had always provided the family through employment.
