Motorists can get careless on any Southern California road, but reckless driving is especially hazardous on Highway 154 through Santa Barbara County.
Drivers can be surprised by tight curves and steep inclines and suddenly lose control. They may strike the car next to them. The accident could also grow as fast-moving traffic approaches a crash scene from behind. Those drivers may not have enough warning to hit the brakes to avoid more impacts. Drivers and passengers may be left with serious injuries and be in need of real help when it comes time to pay for medical care.
