Busy roads around Bakersfield can expose even safe drivers to the reckless nature of other motorists. Drivers can be going well over the speed limit when they lose control and slide into the lanes next to them. A careless driver may also be looking anywhere but the road and ram another vehicle from behind.
When traffic is heavy any impact can quickly affect many other drivers and passengers. These multi-car pileups send injured victims to local emergency rooms each week.
