Pedestrians and cyclists both travel without the protection of someone in a car. A cyclist might have a small helmet on, but otherwise, those on foot and on bikes don’t have seatbelts and airbags to keep them safe.
A careless driver can forget about this vulnerability and lose focus on the road, leaving pedestrians and cyclists at extreme risk. A strike from a car, SUV, or truck can cause broken bones and traumatic brain injuries. In the worst cases, a car accident can leave accident victims at risk of losing their lives.

Finding Support for Victims and Families After a San Jose Traffic Accident
Families who have lost a loved one in a terrible accident can be unfairly subjected to the costs of a funeral and emergency services all at once and be facing extreme financial difficulties. A claim filed against an at-fault driver’s car insurance provider can ask for assistance with these expenses.
This wrongful death claim is also intended to protect the family from financial hardship in the future by replacing the income the deceased can no longer provide through his or her job.
For surviving victims, a claim for damages is the best way to ensure every cost of recovery is covered. A first insurance settlement offered may only cover the first night in an emergency room. Accepting such an offer leaves victims and their families paying for the remaining hospital bills out-of-pocket. This civil claim seeks to earn money to pay all medical expenses and can also be counted on to support victims as they remain out of work and miss valuable paychecks.
