A driver accused of running a red light sent another motorist to the hospital on Thursday in Monterey County. KION-TV reports the accident occurred in Soledad at the intersection of Front Street and Nestles Road on June 30, 2022.
Soledad police say that the driver of the first car ran a red light and crashed into a small white hatchback car. The driver of the hatchback suffered major injuries and was rushed to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas. An update on the victim’s condition has not been released.
The driver in the first car was issued a citation for running the light. Investigators say city cameras show the driver in the white hatchback had a solid green light at the time of the collision.
