Pedestrian Hit-And-Run Accidents On Valentine Ave in Fresno CA

Pedestrians in certain parts of Fresno don’t have sidewalks available to them as they travel. Narrow streets and careless drivers make for dangerous hazards for anyone on foot.

An inattentive driver who should be watching out for any pedestrian nearby can overlook someone and cause a devastating collision. This tragedy is made that much worse when an at-fault driver decides to speed away from the scene and leave the victim behind.

Finding Support for Families After a Fresno County Pedestrian Accident

Families can lose a beloved family member in the blink of an eye and be left to cope with their grief and confusion. Close relatives may be left to deal with ambulance fees and burial and funeral costs while wondering if the driver to blame will get away without facing any consequences.

In these awful circumstances, families can ask for insurance help to protect themselves in the present and in the future. If a hit-and-run suspect is captured and charged in the accident, a family can immediately file a wrongful death lawsuit against the suspect’s car insurance company.

This lawsuit would help the family pay for the expenses resulting from an accident. It would also help them replace the income the victim would have provided the family in the years to come.

If the suspect is never identified, victims may be able to recover money from their own insurance policies. The victim may have had a car insurance policy and the uninsured motorists portion of the insurance could be utilized to provide support to family members. If not, a victim may have been covered on a family member’s insurance policy and compensation could be obtained.
