Pedestrians in Hanford often have to exert far too much effort just to safely walk the city. In some parts of Hanford, they are expected to travel a half mile or more to find a safe crosswalk.
The hazards only increase when they attempt to cross and must still confront careless and reckless drivers over six or seven lanes of traffic in some instances. The difficult journey for Hanford pedestrians often remains unnoticed until a tragic accident occurs and family members are left to mourn a devastating outcome.

The driver remained on the scene to cooperate with police officers. Investigators continue to work to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
Support for Families After a Hanford Pedestrian Accident
Families can be notified of a tragic accident and have precious little time to mourn a loved one before the costs of a driver’s mistake come due. The bills for a proper memorial and burial and the emergency services fees from the night of the accident will quickly reach into the thousands of dollars.
These expenses will leave close relatives facing financial hardship. Especially when the care and income a loved one had always provided close family members has been taken away.
A wrongful death claim filed against an at-fault driver’s insurance provider demands assistance with these expenses. This civil claim can also provide safeguards for the family in the years to come when the deceased’s guidance and financial support will no longer be available.
A spouse or children of the victim can file a wrongful death claim on behalf of the rest of the close family members. A wrongful death attorney is also permitted to file this claim and handle frustrating battles with insurance companies for the family. The attorney acting in the best interest of close relatives seeks the most in financial support possible in an insurance settlement.
