Turlock police say that a woman driving a sedan attempted a turn from Pedras Road onto North Golden State Boulevard. Her vehicle ended up in the path of a motorcyclist traveling northbound on North Golden State Boulevard.
The rider collided with the driver’s side of the vehicle. The motorcyclist, described as a white male in his 30s, was rushed to the hospital with major injuries. The man later died at the hospital. The female driver was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the driver of the car is cooperating with the investigation. Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
