Highway 129 Accidents Involving Trucks Pulling Trailers in Santa Cruz County

Rural highways across Santa Cruz County can carry heavy traffic from cars and SUVs and also heavy work trucks going to and from job sites. This mix of high-speed traffic and large vehicles can cause dangerous chain-reaction accidents along local roads.

One driver becoming careless, can suddenly put motorists in all directions at risk of a devastating collision. The injuries can be severe and life-threatening when drivers and passengers are put in the path of out-of-control vehicles.

Multi-Vehicle Accident Tragically Claims Life in Santa Cruz County

A three-vehicle collision claimed one man’s life in southern Santa Cruz County early Monday morning. KION-TV reports the accident happened along Highway 129/Riverside Drive at Harvest Drive, south of Watsonville on November 29, 2021.

The California Highway Patrol found that a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a Ford F-650 pickup collided, causing both vehicles to overturn. A flatbed trailer disconnected from the Ford pickup in the impact and struck a Chevrolet Malibu.

Support for Families After a Tragedy on Santa Cruz County Roads

Families who must say goodbye to a loved one after a terrible accident may risk a financial disaster when faced with the bills that often follow a traffic collision. Families can see invoices for a funeral and burial and also be charged for emergency response and medical care provided on the scene.

A wrongful death claim filed against an at-fault driver’s car insurance provider can ask for assistance with these expenses. This civil claim also demands help for the family in the future, when close relatives will have to continue life without the emotional and financial support the deceased had always provided.
