Accidents Involving Head-On Collisions on I-5 In Kern County CA

Interstate travel in California can be dangerous for drivers and passengers no matter the time of day. Interstate Five carries heavy traffic along many stretches in the state and motorists can allow themselves to become distracted or reckless and put others at risk. An accident can involve vehicles traveling at interstate speed limits or above and easily involve multiple vehicles.

Drivers can lose focus on the lanes and veer over into the path of the vehicle beside them. Drivers could also be traveling too fast to brake in time to avoid stopped or slowed traffic. Along some sections of I-5, there’s also the risk of head-on collisions when there aren’t barriers separating opposite lanes of traffic. A devastating accident can occur to cause severe injuries and even threaten lives.

Finding Help For Victims and Families in Kern County Accidents

Families who have lost a loved one in a terrible accident can be unfairly subjected to the costs of a funeral and emergency services all at once and be facing extreme financial difficulties. A claim filed against an at-fault driver’s car insurance provider can ask for assistance with these expenses.

This wrongful death claim is also intended to protect the family from financial hardship in the future by replacing the income the deceased can no longer provide through his or her job.

For surviving victims, a claim for damages is the best way to ensure every cost of recovery is covered. A first insurance settlement offered may only cover the first night in an emergency room. Accepting such an offer leaves victims and their families paying for the remaining hospital bills out-of-pocket. This civil claim seeks to earn money to pay all medical expenses and can also be counted on to support victims as they remain out of work and miss valuable paychecks.
