One life was tragically claimed after a collision between a motorcycle and a car in Fresno Thursday night. KGPE-TV reported the accident took place around the intersection of Blackstone Avenue and Swift Avenue on August 5, 2021.
Fresno Police began receiving calls about the tragedy around 9:45 p.m. Officers say a group of around six motorcycle riders was traveling southbound on Blackstone when a driver in a car traveling northbound attempted to make a U-turn and then hit one of the motorcyclists.
The victim was thrown from his bike and killed. The driver remained on the scene to cooperate with investigators. At this point, Fresno Police Officers do not believe drugs or alcohol, or speeding played a role in the accident.
