Pedestrian Accidents On The 4th of July in Orcutt CA

Pedestrians in Santa Barbara County face hazards from reckless and careless drivers no matter when they travel. The absence of crosswalks and proper lighting on roads across the county are also factors that make moving about on foot more dangerous than it should be.

Pedestrians don’t enjoy protections of any kind in potential impacts and for that reason, drivers are required to show extreme caution no matter where they encounter people on foot. Drivers can be held accountable when pedestrians suffer severe injuries and face weeks or months of medical care to get back to their normal lives.

Securing Assistance for Santa Barbara County Pedestrian Accident Victims

Pedestrians are defenseless in any encounter with a vehicle and can suffer devastating injuries in an impact. Insurance companies covering at-fault drivers should step up to cover every cost victims and their families face, but they make it needlessly difficult to collect even basic support.

Victims and their families can officially demand compensation from an insurance provider by filing a claim for damages.

This civil claim would ask for money to pay every medical expense suffered on the night of the accident and the care expected to be needed in the weeks and months to come. The wages a victim may miss out on while having to miss shifts at work should also be reimbursed by an insurance company. The intense physical and emotional anguish faced by missing out on life events and activities while healing can also be considered in any award.
