Kern County roads carry a lot of travelers each day and a lot of commerce in the form of large work trucks, vans, semis, and tractor-trailers. These trucks can take up more than their share of the lanes and put other motorists in Shafter in dangerous situations.
Big semis can also fill up an intersection, leaving little room for drivers to avoid a collision. These large vehicles sometimes carry heavy payloads and barely register an impact with another vehicle. Yet, people in normal vehicles can suffer extreme injuries and even lose their lives in these crashes.

Finding Support for Families After Collisions in Shafter
After a tragic accident, those responsible for the loss of a life should always be held accountable. Sadly, insurance companies representing at-fault drivers aren’t always the first to step forward to provide help to a family left behind. Family members can quickly face ambulance fees and funeral and burial costs. These bills can arrive just as a family is coping with the loss of the emotional and financial support the deceased had always provided.
In cases where a professional truck driver is to blame there may be more than one insurance provider that can be expected to offer assistance to a victim’s family. The driver’s personal truck insurance policy may be called upon. The company the driver works for could also have to help in the aftermath of a terrible accident.
Families can file a wrongful death claim against the responsible parties to get assistance paying for current expenses. They should also request enough support to help close relatives like a spouse and children avoid financial problems in the years to come as they must find a way to cope without the love and guidance of a lost loved one.
