A man tragically lost his life in a collision with a semi-truck in southern Shafter late Monday night. KGET-TV reports the accident took place just before 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of 7th Standard Road and Zerker Road on April 5, 2021.
Officials found a semi-truck had hit a truck. Witnesses said the truck was overturned in the impact. The driver of the truck was pronounced dead on the scene. He was identified by the Kern County Coroner’s Office as a 61-year-old man.
The condition of the semi-truck driver was not released. The Shafter Police Department is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
