A man lost his life early Monday morning in north Turlock after getting hit by a vehicle. KTXL-TV reported the accident happened around 6:53 a.m. along West Monte Vista Avenue near the campus of CSU-Stanislaus on March 15, 2021.
Turlock police say the 27-year-old man was struck by an SUV. Officers found the victim in the road with major injuries. Life-saving measures were used but the man ended up passing away later at the hospital.
The driver of the SUV involved stayed on the scene and cooperated with investigators. Investigators did not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident. They ask that anyone having information about the accident call the Turlock Police Department.
