Motorcycle Accidents On Hwy 52 In Madera County CA

Motorcyclists face constant threats from other motorists on the road and are often overlooked by distracted and careless drivers. This inattention can cause drivers to miss seeing a motorcyclist coming at them, even at night when motorcycles are fully lit. Taking too fast of a glance, a driver’s brain, not used to seeing a single headlight, can misjudge the distance of an oncoming rider.

It’s a hazardous situation because drivers can pull out in front of motorcyclists thinking they’ve got an opening when a proper look would have made it apparent that it was not safe to proceed. The act of entering a roadway puts the entire length of a vehicle in front of riders and can force them into a frightening collision.

For such a small place, Madera County can still see a tragic number of motorcycle accidents in a year. California’s Transportation Injury Mapping System (TIMS) recorded 35 accidents involving motorcycles in the county in 2019. Those accidents claimed two lives and left another 42 people hurt.

Finding Help for Families After a Madera County Motorcycle Accidents

A family coping with the tragedy of a fatal motorcycle accident should be permitted to grieve their loss and be given a break from everyday worries while they mourn. Sadly, terrible accidents will cause emotional trauma and sometimes immediate financial hardships.

Close relatives can face emergency services and ambulance fees, burial costs, and estate settlement expenses while having to make do without the emotional and financial support the deceased had always provided. These burdens can all arise out of an accident that wasn’t the victim’s fault.

Under these tragic circumstances, close family members are allowed to file a wrongful death lawsuit against an at-fault driver’s car insurance policy. The claim would seek to shield the family from financial difficulties now and in the future as they must continue life without the care and assistance of a lost loved one. An attorney can also file this lawsuit on behalf of the family and make sure evidence and documents are in order so that an insurance company has no choice but to admit fault and treat victims fairly.
