Intersection Car Accidents In Fresno County

Intersections prove to be dangerous places for motorists every year in Fresno County. Intersections force safe drivers to have to trust that other motorists will obey stop signs and traffic lights. One lapse in attention on the part of a driver can endanger people in cars traveling from all directions.

The Transportation Injury Mapping System (TIMS) found that Fresno County saw 901 crashes in intersections across 2019. Those scary accidents led to a heartbreaking 35 victims killed and another 1,515 people injured for the year.

Nationally, intersection collisions are the second most common type of accident each year, only behind rear-end crashes in the amount of devastation they cause for victims.

Four Injured in Fresno County Car into Building Accident

A two-car collision in Fresno County Monday afternoon sent one car into a building and left multiple people injured. FOX26-TV reported the accident happened around 4:20 p.m. west of Easton at the intersection of Lincoln and Cornelia Avenues on January 18, 2021.

The California Highway Patrol says a woman driving a Mazda heading south on Cornelia didn’t stop for a stop sign. The vehicle struck a Maserati traveling east on Lincoln. The Maserati was sent spinning and into an abandoned building.

All four people involved in the accident were taken to Community Regional Medical Center with injuries. Investigators don’t believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.

Assistance for Fresno County Accident Victims

After a frightening crash, victims can be left facing weeks and months of physical therapy just to try to return to a normal life. A difficult recovery can leave the injured facing a tough battle and what’s more, those victims may have to watch as medical bills pile up with no real options to get them paid. Victims may not be able to earn income as they miss more and more work due to their injuries.

Victims may even feel abandoned and that’s something that should never be allowed to happen. An at-fault driver and his or her insurance firm should always be first up to pay for all the costs of recovery. Unfortunately, to force insurance agents to pay for what’s fair, victims often have to file a claim for damages against them.

This civil lawsuit can demand compensation for things like medical expenses and lost paychecks at work. The lawsuit can also help provide for victims down the road should they need additional care in the years to come or should they have to miss more work in the future. An attorney working on your side can help calculate everything you’ll need to get you back on your feet again physically and financially and make sure an insurance company takes your case seriously.
