Wrongful Death Claims in Fresno County

Tragic accidents can suddenly rob families of a loved one. Family members will, understandably, wonder how they can go on without the love and support of the victim. They may also be forced to seek help in covering the expenses that come out of a fatal collision.

Funeral costs and potential ambulance and hospital bills from before the person passed on shouldn’t be the responsibility of victims or their families. The loved one wasn’t at fault for the accident. The driver to blame for the collision and his or her insurance coverage should be liable for every cost that falls on loved ones.

A wrongful death lawsuit filed by a close relative or attorney representing the entire family can recover compensation for bills and lost wages the deceased person would have provided through their job. The family’s future can be protected as even the emotional support the victim would have provided for a spouse and children in the coming years can factor into a civil lawsuit award.

For victims who survive crashes, a claim for damages can be filed against the at-fault driver’s insurance to help pay for the enormous medical bills that will arrive after a long recovery in the hospital. This claim can also ask for help with lost paychecks as the victim misses more and more time at work. Many other expenses now and those in the future can be covered.
